Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Herd Keeper application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Herd Keeper. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. The App and License

Herd Keeper is a farm management application for goat farmers. Herd Keeper is free to use and does not require a purchase. Using the App grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use its features on your personal device, including:

• Unlimited farms and goats, stored offline
• Farm profiles with location and map picker
• Health records, breeding records, weight logs, and milk production tracking
• Inventory management with expiry and low-stock tracking
• Unlimited local photos and videos
• QR code scanning, tasks, reminders, and push notifications

All data is stored locally on your device only. The license is personal, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes related to farm management
• Provide accurate information about your farm and animals
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Not use the App to transmit harmful, unlawful, or fraudulent content

4. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all farm data you enter into Herd Keeper. Herd Keeper claims no intellectual property rights over your records, photos, or content.

Herd Keeper is an offline-first application. Your data is stored only on your device. Herd Keeper does not receive, back up, or store a copy of it anywhere. You are solely responsible for the safety and preservation of your data. Herd Keeper is not liable for any loss of data arising from device loss, damage, theft, accidental deletion, or factory reset.

5. Intellectual Property

The Herd Keeper name, logo, app design, and underlying code are the exclusive property of Herd Keeper. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the personal use license described in Section 2.

You retain ownership of your farm data as described in Section 4.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Herd Keeper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Herd Keeper is provided free of charge. Since no payment is made to use the App, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed zero.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Philippines.

9. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time, for example, when new features such as an account, cloud backup, or a marketplace become available. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
